La Dolce Vita Brunch: Sunday in Florence Gets Elegant at Café Ginori

Sunday morning has a rhythm all its own. Some people won’t give up coffee at the counter, others like a breakfast with no eye on the clock, and others wait all week to sit down at a table with friends. For those who love that last habit, Florence now has a new address to put in the calendar.

At Café Ginori at The St. Regis Florence, La Dolce Vita Brunch has arrived, a weekly date that brings the pleasure of Italian conviviality to one of the most refined settings in the city, with food, cocktails and live music.

Every Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., brunch becomes a reason to stretch out the morning, meet up and enjoy a few unhurried hours. A DJ set adds a contemporary soundtrack to the whole experience.

The Café Ginori brunch: pastries and Eggs Benedict

The Café Ginori formula pairs the great international brunch classics with a selection of sweet specialties, in a menu served entirely at the table.

You begin by choosing two items from the pastry display: freshly baked croissants, tarts, plated desserts, muesli with yogurt and berries, or a fresh fruit salad.

Next comes one à la carte dish, to be chosen from seven sweet and savory options.

For lovers of the classics there are Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, while those who want something different can go for the Avocado Toast, the Italian Toast or the French Toast.

There is room for salads too, with the Caesar Salad and a seasonal dish pairing fresh raspberries, toasted almonds and raspberry dressing.

It is a selection meant to meet different tastes, from the most traditional breakfast to those who would rather head straight toward lunchtime.

A Mimosa cocktail, the DJ set and the pleasure of being together

Rounding out the meal are a café drink of your choice among coffee, cappuccino, tea or fruit juice, mineral water and a glass of Mimosa, the cocktail of sparkling wine and orange juice that has become one of the symbols of brunch.

What makes the offer special, though, is also the atmosphere.

Table service lets you enjoy the experience without interruptions, while the live DJ set accompanies the morning with music.

Café Ginori, inside The St. Regis Florence, thus offers a new way to experience the center of Florence with a program that is a little different from the usual: a Sunday date to share as a couple, with friends or to celebrate an occasion.

The formula is offered at 42 euros per person, including all the courses and the drinks listed on the menu.
